The Flaming Bagel
Yesterday, as usual I was running late for class. Literally I was running...Anyway, I somehow talked myself into dashing to the caf, swiping some yogurt, and and continuing my marathon to my classroom. However, upon arriving in the caf it came my attention that they had failed to put out the yogurt on that fine morning. In my flustered state a decided a bagel would be the next best option and hastily threw one in the toaster. Then...disaster struck. I walked away for no more than 30 seconds to grab some coffee, only to return to a FLAMING bagel. Literally, flames billowing out of the toaster. It. Was. Horrible. The whole caf smelled like it was going to burn down, and of course everyone was starting to take notice of my situation. Fortunately on of the caf workers ran out with a fire extinguisher and a pair of tongs. I know you're wondering, but he didn't have to use the extinguisher thank God. He bravely reached in with a pair of tongs to remove the still flaming bagel. As he carried the culprit away, I said my "I'm sorry's" and decided to slip out with what little dignity I still had. I grabbed a replacement bagel (untoasted) and continued my dash to class, to which I miraculously arrived on time.

Too many clothes...
Is there really such a thing as having too many clothes? Ok, maybe...I don't have a problem I swear.... I keep expecting my friends to have an intervention for me at some point this semester due to not only the overwhelming amount of clothes I buy, but also because of the clothes currently exploding from my tiny dorm room closet. Maybe selecting a room with a walk in closet for next year was a bad idea...whoops! I just like to have options. No one likes to eat the same thing every day, why should I have to wear the same outfit twice in a month week? The only solace I have is knowing that I am CERTAINLY not alone with my situation. My roommate next year has probably the some amount or more, my mother has her own walk in closet at home, and I know some of you reading this post are plagued by the same issues. My habit wouldn't be too bad if it weren't supplemented by the places I shop. JCrew, Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters...Ugggh I could spend a paycheck in 30 minutes. At least I donate my clothes to charity when its time for a closet clean out. That makes up for my bad habit right? Just another day in the life...
